4 Months, A Chainsaw and a Dream

By lilybee

Here's a little inspiration for those of us with a big-ish project to tackle this weekend. These folks built their own house. With their HANDS (and a chainsaw).

This is Simon Dale and his family's woodland home

created on: 08/22/08

It's a very impressive testament to what 4 months of back breaking labour, £3000, and a good working relationship with your father-in-law will get you.

It's made from untreated oak branches and straw and is just as beautiful on the inside. Do have a look here for more pictures and the very interesting 'family perspective'.

Funnily enough 4 months is the amount of time that I have been prevaricating about putting up the shelves in my closet.
